The Research on Economic Analyses and Costing for Health systems (REACH) Lab utilizes economic theory and methods to understand complex health system factors and outcomes. Housed at the William F. Connell School of Nursing, the REACH lab fosters interdisciplinary research and collaborations to promote health in the United States and Globally. Our research falls into three main categories:

Health Care Markets

Understand how supply and demand impact services provided and access to health care services for individuals in varying market places (public and private).

Costing and Cost Effectiveness

Understand monetary investments in health care programs and effectiveness of these programs utilizing various costing methodologies like cost effectiveness analysis and return on investment.

Causal Methods and Machine Learning

Utilize varying methodologies, including causal methods and machine, learning with large databases to examine the impact of programs and policies on health care access, utilization and outcomes.
